You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Psalm 139: 1-6
When Jesus stepped out of Heaven and came to Earth He knew that He was preparing to give his life for our sake. The Cross was always in mind. Today, reflect on the sacrifice that He made, and confess to Him where you have fallen short in sacrificing for others. Where has your life become only about yourself? Where can you leverage your time, abilities, and gifts for the people around you? Where can you leverage those things for people you may never meet?
Lord, you know each and every one of us down to the hairs on our head; and You know exactly what we will need to change in the days ahead. Please, prepare a Holy place for us to meet with You, to hear from You, and in turn commit to spending every ounce of this life you have given us for the sake of others coming to know You as we do.
